Safety starts with trust, accountability, and connection. That’s why we’re reinventing Neighborhood Safety Councils—not just as monthly meetings, but as dynamic, two-way relationships between residents and those who serve them.

• Bi-weekly check-ins between Police Captains and Community Relations Officers and the community will ensure no concern goes unheard.

• Monthly in-person meetings will bring us face-to-face to solve problems and plan actionable solutions together.

• We’re establishing Community Centers in every ward, hubs where our youth are mentored, families access services, and neighbors unite.

We won’t stop there. We will launch a Violence Interrupters Program, hiring and training formerly incarcerated individuals who understand the streets and can mediate conflict before violence happens. And we’ll bring Youth Conflict Resolution Workshops directly into our schools and community centers, teaching nonviolence and emotional intelligence to the next generation.

Empowered communities are safe communities. We’ll revitalize the Neighborhood Watch Program, partnering you—block by block—with local police and safety councils. This is about building trust, not fear. This is about us.

Compassion and Support Where It's Needed Most

Housing is a human right. Dignity is non-negotiable. We will roll out Transitional Housing for Young Adults and Homeless Residents, giving our most vulnerable neighbors not just shelter, but wraparound services—mental health support, job training, and a clear path forward. This isn’t temporary—it’s transformative.

And our seniors won’t be left behind. We’ll develop ADA-compliant senior housing with real space, real services, and real independence—complete with on-site urgent care and accessible supermarkets.

Funding? We’ve done the homework. We’ll tap into Aspire, NJRA, HMFA, CDBG, HUD, and more—without raising your taxes. This isn’t a wish list. This is a work plan.

Affordable Homes and Fair Rents That Keep Jersey City Livable

Everyone deserves a roof over their head—and a fair shot at owning it. We’re bringing affordable housing rooted in New Urbanism to every ward—mixed-income, walkable, and inclusive communities.

• Priority housing for teachers, nurses, police, and firefighters.

• $40,000 in down payment assistance for first-time homebuyers.

• $25,000 in homeowner support for those trying to stay in their homes.

• And affordable senior units that honor aging with dignity.

Local business is the heartbeat of our economy. Our Accessible Resource Portal will simplify every step—from getting a permit to finding grants—and when your new business opens, we’ll be there with scissors and a guide to growing strong.

In underserved areas, we’ll incentivize new businesses that reflect and enrich our communities—barbershops, bookstores, cafés, childcare, tech hubs. If you have a dream, Jersey City will help it thrive.

Clean Streets, Green Spaces, and a City That Works for Everyone

A clean city is a proud city. We’ll revive the Incinerator Authority to enhance sanitation and create local jobs—ensuring every neighborhood shines.

Our Sustainable City Initiative will bring compost bins to every corner, convert vacant land into lush community gardens, and create green, breathable space in every ward. Parks will be reborn with inclusive play structures, ADA access, and beautiful features for everyone to enjoy.

Mobility, Accessibility, and a City That Connects Us

No more transit deserts. We’re launching a cross-town bus system that runs east to west, connecting underserved areas like Communipaw Avenue and beyond. Working with NJ Transit, we’ll push for expanded bus lines and a more connected light rail.

And for our neurodiverse families, we’ll open two ABA centers, because every child deserves support close to home.
